The Appeal: Affordable Family Fun

As San Antonio’s largest master-planned community, Alamo Ranch was pretty much a shoo-in for the #1 spot on our list. Located on the growing northwest cusp of the city, this neighborhood has the tranquil appeal of the Hill Country, the reliable affordability of a family-oriented neighborhood, and  a surprisingly luxurious set of amenities (Olympic-sized pool, anyone?). The on-site elementary and middle schools ensure this neighborhood appeals to families of young children, while the wide variety of prices appeal to both first-time and move-up buyers ($190k to $512k). One of our favorite descriptions of Alamo Ranch notes that it provides, “A luxury lifestyle combined perfectly with the privacy and authenticity of the Texas Hill Country.”
